Prague
Prague: the complete Verneus guide
You can easily see Prague in two or three days, and it remains one of the most affordable capital cities in Europe. In this guide, we’ve brought together everything we’ve learnt from guiding here every day: itineraries, neighbourhoods, real-world prices and the pitfalls to avoid.
See free tours in PraguePrague is one of those cities that seem frozen in time. Unlike other European capitals ravaged by war, its Old Town has survived almost intact, and strolling through its cobbled streets is like travelling through a thousand years of history in a single afternoon.
What the guidebooks don’t tell you is that Prague is best enjoyed early in the morning or at sunset, when the tourist groups have gone and the city regains its rhythm. In this guide, we tell you what to see, where to eat without falling into tourist traps, how to get around, and everything we do on our free tours.
How many days do you need in Prague?
In 2–3 days, you’ll see the essentials: the Old Town, the Castle, the Jewish Quarter and Malá Strana. If you want to add day trips (Český Krumlov, Karlovy Vary) or take a more leisurely pace, book a fourth day.
What to see and do
Prague’s must-see sights and a few hidden gems that hardly anyone knows about.
